When you buy organic body oil, you buy more than just an oil bottle. You’re buying pure essential oils to nourish and rejuvenate your skin (and senses) for hours after application. These oils can be combined with other products to achieve maximum benefits. Here are five tips for choosing the right organic body oil for you:

Focus On Types of Fatty Acids

Fatty acids are the building blocks of all-natural oils, so choosing something with only the ingredients you want is important to avoid unnecessary additives, chemicals, or unwanted scents. When shopping for your next organic oil, look for oils high in linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid.

Remember Your Main Goal

When you use a natural oil to hydrate and protect your skin (and your senses), you’re working on two goals: protecting your skin from external elements and nourishing it with those all-important fatty acids. For the first goal, choose an organic oil that has antioxidants like olive squalene or vitamin E listed as ingredients.
